The two seasons (2009-2010) of researches have been possible also thanks to bailout of Vice-rector of University of Warsaw for Research and International Cooperation, as well as private founds of team members and private sponsors.

The archaeological researches (2011-2012) in ancient Akrai can be implemented thanks to the grant of National Science Centre (Narodowe Centrum Nauki), number N N109 104940, titled Non-invasive investigations and archaeological excavations of ancient town Akrai, Sicily, Italy, directed by dr. Roksana Chowaniec.

The project includes: non-invasive investigations, field-survey and excavations. Finally, we would like to build the “picture” of ancient town in antiquity (mainly after the Roman conquest), related to topography and architecture of town.

Multidisciplinary studies of the ancient town Akrai/Acrae, south-eastern Sicily, Italy as well as funds from Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego) number 4815/E-343/SPUB/2016/2-1, both directed by dr.
